FMI Supports Brightwater Brain Rehabilitation Centre

Mark Esler, former resident of brightwater oats street, trains with boxer danny green in the lead up to his world record attempt of longest distance travelled with one arm in a wheelchair

Tuesday 23rd November, Brisbane: FMI Works was today announced as a supporter of Brightwater Care Group’s Radio 6PR Radio Appeal.

The appeal, raising money for Brightwater Oats Street, is an initiative from a former resident at the facility, who is aiming to set a world record for the longest distance travelled in a wheelchair with one arm.

Brightwater Oats Street has been at the forefront of acquired brain injury rehabilitation since 1991, with a focus on neuroplasticity.

FMI Works has partnered with Brightwater Care Group for nearly 20 years, providing facilities management consulting and software solutions. The donation, made in support of the fundraising efforts, is grounded in a strong belief in the work of Brightwater Oats Street, fostered over decades of collaboration.

The world record attempt will be undertaken, on Friday 3rd of December, the International Day of People with a Disability.
