BEIMS to FMI
Used by leading organisations since 1989, BEIMS was Australia’s premier facilities management system for decades, later rebranded to Pulse. Since then, facilities management has continued to evolve, and technology has changed the way we work.
In 2021, the BEIMS/Pulse team shifted focus to our cloud native solution, FMI Works.

BEIMS Timeline
In the beginning
BEIMS stands for Building and Engineering Information Management System, and was created to provide a practical solution to manage information for FM. BEIMS provided an asset register, work order management, planned maintenance and more, and led the way in the world of facilities management software.
The next step
In 2016, BEIMS was acquired by software company Zuuse, who rebranded the BEIMS product to Pulse.
2021 saw the start of the shift towards their cloud solution, FMI Works. This decision to shift focus was born out of a commitment to solving real problems for facilities managers. Cloud native solutions offer security, speed, and simplicity for users that is not possible with on-premise deployments.
This solution marries the FM expertise from the BEIMS team with practical, powerful software.
To now
FMI Works is used by leading organisations across Australia and New Zealand, including many organisations who had previously used BEIMS or Pulse. Our expert migration team provide support to Pulse and BEIMS users wanting to make the move to cloud.
