APIs Built for Real Integration Challenges
If you’re juggling disconnected finance, operations and enterprise systems, you know how quickly manual work, data gaps, and reconciliation delays add up. Our APIs make it simple to connect with the tools your team already use.
FMI Works provides APIs built on RESTful principles and OpenAPI specification, with a reliable, predictable foundation for building integrations. Our approach is to give you the flexibility you need when integrating with other core solutions.
Always-accurate, real-time data: Connect your operational and financial platforms to maintain a single source of truth, with live visibility across your entire data ecosystem.
Reduce manual data re-entry: Data flows automatically between systems, freeing your team from time-consuming duplicate entry and reducing human error.
Effortless built-in compliance: Automated audit trails and compliance checks run in the background, so you stay audit-ready.
Open. Flexible. Built to Connect.
Reduce manual processes, connect your core systems, and give your facilities team real-time access to the data they need. FMI’s APIs make it possible. Speak to our team to upgrade today!

A Developer-First API Experience
Our APIs are designed to be easy to work with. From interactive documentation to consistent data patterns, every aspect of the API experience is built to reduce integration effort and give developers the clarity they need to build reliable connections.
All API communication runs over HTTPS, providing encrypted, secure data transfer between your systems and FMI Works and protecting against unauthorised access.
APIs are documented using the OpenAPI standard and accessible through a Swagger interface where developers can explore endpoints, review parameters, and run test requests directly in the browser.
Consistent query patterns across all endpoints make it straightforward to filter, sort, and page through data, reducing the custom logic developers need to write and maintain.
FMI Works follows the RFC7807 standard for error responses, delivering structured, meaningful error details that help developers quickly identify and resolve integration issues.

Built to Perform, Backed by SLA
Our APIs are covered under the same Service Level Agreement as the FMI Works platform. That means the same reliability, availability, and performance commitments apply to every API call your systems make.
The infrastructure behind FMI’s APIs is built to scale dynamically, handling usage spikes and growth without compromising availability or response times.
APIs are optimised for fast and efficient data retrieval. Performance is continuously monitored and maintained within SLA commitments, ensuring responsiveness during both standard and peak usage periods.
FMI Works uses semantic versioning and prioritises backward compatibility in updates. When APIs are retired, customers receive advance notice and sufficient time to plan and execute any required migration.
A sandbox environment is available on request, providing a safe space to build and test integrations without risk to your live FMI Works data.
